The Short Answer
Seven programmes, one question: what is your entry about?
World Technology Awards recognises artificial intelligence through seven award programmes rather than one. The AI Awards are the main programme for artificial intelligence companies. Six more programmes cover narrower kinds of AI work: generative AI, machine learning, AI innovation, AI startups, data analytics and decision intelligence, and the founders who lead technology companies.
Choosing well matters. Each programme compares entries with peers doing similar work, so a generative AI product is assessed next to other generative AI products, and an early-stage company is assessed against other early-stage companies rather than established platforms. Picking the programme that matches the core of your story gives the Jury team or the Management of Golden Tree the clearest view of what you have achieved.
Use the comparison table and decision guide below to find your fit. If you are still unsure, the AI Awards accept any company whose products or operations depend on artificial intelligence.

Decision Guide
Which AI category fits your work?
Match the statement that best describes your entry to the programme that suits it.
“AI runs through our whole business”
Your story is company-wide growth, delivery and responsible practice. Enter the AI Awards, for example AI Company of the Year.
“Our product creates content or code”
Text, image, audio, video or code generation is the core. Enter the Generative AI Awards.
“Our edge is how we build models”
Training pipelines, MLOps, evaluation or predictive systems. Enter the Machine Learning Awards.
“We made one clear breakthrough”
A new technique, architecture or deployment that solved a hard problem. Enter the AI Innovation Awards.
“We are an early-stage AI company”
Sharp product vision and early traction. Enter the AI Startup Awards, where judging weighs traction relative to stage.
“We help people make better decisions with data”
Analytics, forecasting and decision intelligence. Enter the Data Analytics Awards or the Business Intelligence Awards.
“Our AI serves one industry”
Sector-specific AI is often best judged among sector peers: see the HealthTech, FinTech, Threat Intelligence, Robotics and Industrial Automation Awards.
“We want to recognise a person”
Founders and technology leaders can enter the Tech Founder Awards, or AI Founder of the Year within the AI Startup Awards.
Entry Rules
One nomination, one category under the Free plan
Free to nominate
There is no nomination fee and no registration fee. The Free plan covers one award programme in one category at City level, with a mandatory Winner Package order if you are selected as a winner.
More than one category
Companies with several strong stories can enter further programmes or categories through the optional paid plans listed on the Fee / Cost page.
Lead with your strongest story
If you can enter only one category, choose the one where you have the clearest evidence, not the one with the broadest title.
Check the schedule
Nomination, review and announcement stages for the current cycle are shown on the Award Schedule page.
Preparing Your Entry
What a strong AI entry shows, in any category
Every AI entry is assessed by the Jury team or the Management of Golden Tree. Whatever programme you choose, the same kinds of evidence carry weight:
- Technical approach — a clear, high-level description of how your AI works and what makes it robust.
- Measured outcomes — adoption, accuracy, time saved or other results you can document.
- Reliability in production — evidence the system performs beyond a pilot or demo.
- Responsible deployment — your practices for safety, fairness, transparency and data governance.
- Fit with the category — a direct link between your evidence and the category you have chosen.
See the judging process for how entries are reviewed, and past winners for the kinds of work that have been recognised.
